Oppo Reno10 Pro+ specs leak, along with chipset details for the Reno10 and Reno10 Pro

Oppo is continuing with its biannual release strategy for the Reno mid-rangers, and since the Reno9 series was unveiled last November, we're getting very close to the launch of the upcoming Reno10 series. This too will allegedly comprise of three devices, according to sources from China: the Reno10, Reno10 Pro, and Reno10 Pro+.

Today the chipsets used by the first two have been outed, along with a more complete spec list for the highest-end model. The Reno10 is said to employ Qualcomm's Snapdragon 778G, which is the same SoC at the helm of its predecessor, the Reno9. The Reno10 Pro, on the other hand, will apparently go with MediaTek's Dimensity 8200, a small step up compared to the Reno9 Pro's Dimensity 8100.

Now let's talk about the finest member of the family, the Reno10 Pro+. This is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, just like its predecessor. It will allegedly boast a 6.74-inch 120 Hz curved touchscreen made by Tianma, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB and 512GB storage options, and a 4,700 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging.

There will be a triple rear camera system, with a 50 MP main shooter using Sony's IMX890 sensor, an 8 MP ultrawide with the Sony IMX355, and a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera with the OmniVision OV64b sensor. On the front will be a 32 MP snapper using the Sony IMX709 sensor, inside a centered hole-punch. The phone's frame will be plastic.

So, compared to the Reno9 Pro+, the new model adds the periscope telephoto camera, and ups the charging capacity to 100W from 80W. On first glance, those seem to be the only improvements, but the screen's specs could be better too. We'll have to wait for the official announcement to find out for sure.
